The Writer's Notebook is a FREE virtual notebook that provides writers with the tools and resources needed to plan, prep, and write their novels. The Writer's Notebook contains worksheets, tables, guides, checklists, a cork board, and a wealth of writing craft information. It also serves as a repository for collecting notes, ideas, musings, inspiration, and all the research for your writing project.

Before you begin your next writing project, set up a Writer's Notebook for it. The organizational tools and writing craft guidelines will reduce frustration, save valuable time, increase efficiency, and make for a more pleasant and fruitful writing experience.

Please note that the Writer's Notebook is not software. It is a Microsoft OneNote notebook file. You must have Microsoft OneNote installed on your computer in order to be able to use The Writer's Notebook. Microsoft OneNote is offered free by Microsoft (download it at: Microsoft OneNote download).

​Since the Writer's Notebook is a OneNote document, you can make any changes or additions to it that are possible in any OneNote notebook, and you can also utilize the many, many features of OneNote. Virtually everything in the Writer's Notebook is editable. The flexibility is vast. See the gallery of screenshots at the bottom of this page.
